Description
SIZES: XS (S, M)[L, XL, XXL].
Finished chest: 80 (84, 90.5)[99, 107.5, 118] cm/32 (33.75, 36.25)[39.5, 43, 47.25] inches.
The pullover is intended to be worn with small amount of positive ease.
YARN: 4 (4, 4)[5, 5, 6] skeins of De Rerum Natura Gilliatt (100% merino; 100g/250m). Sample shown in colorway: Granit.
GAUGE : 19 sts and 25 rows over 10cm/4" in St st worked in the round with 5.0mm/US #8 needle.
Take time to save time - check your gauge.
If necessary, adjust needle size to obtain the correct gauge.
CONSTRUCTION:
The pullover is worked seamlessly from top to bottom. You will cast on stitches for the neck and sleeves first and begin working back and forth, increasing for raglan sleeves and shaping fronts. Once you join work in the round, you will make raglan increases every second round.
The sweater is worked mostly in Stockinette stitch. After dividing the body from the sleeves, you will shape the body under each arm and work down to ribbed hem. Next, you will pick up stitches along neck opening to make a drapey cabled cowl neck.
The full length sleeves are worked last. Both are worked in the round. The lower right sleeve features ribbed cables echoing those on the cowl neck, while the entire left sleeve is worked in plain Stockinette. Both sleeves are finished with 1x1 Rib.
