ORIGINS AND MANUFACTURE

Cyrano is a large, soft, round yarn made from carded wool from a mixture of French Arles merino (Provence) and Portuguese black merino raised with a concern for the well-being of the animals and the recovery of their wool.

All the manufacturing stages of this yarn are carried out in a short circuit (France and Portugal for sourcing, Belgium and Italy for washing, France for spinning and dyeing) with a constant desire for traceability and to reduce its impact on the environment.

It is offered in natural colours resulting from the mixture of brown and white fleeces ("salt", "white pepper", "pepper and salt" and "pepper"), and in a range of subtly dyed colours.

ON THE NEEDLES

Its five strand composition gives it a lot of roundness and enhances spectacularly the patterns and twists while keeping the characteristic swelling of carded yarns.

It is the perfect yarn for quick and satisfying projects such as hats, cosy scarves or a nice soft blanket, but also for knitting big warm cardigans that can be used as mid-season coats and children's jumpers that are particularly resistant to the vicissitudes of the playground!

RECOMMENDED CARE

This yarn is not superwash treated. We recommend washing your knitted fabric in warm water with soap or a suitable detergent. If you wish to test the wool programme of your washing machine, we advise you to do so first with your sample.

Please note that very dark or particularly saturated colours are more likely to bleed during blocking. If you plan to knit with lighter colours, we recommend that you test a sample first. If you find excess dye in the first wash, we recommend that you repeat the rinse bath until it is clear before drying your work.
